Society Lapidary Shop
 

 

The society operates a fully equipped rock cutting and polishing shop at the Barn on Pacific Avenue in Livermore. All Lithophile members may use the shop. A nominal fee is charged for access and instruction is provided.
Beginning cutters are provided free materials.

The shop is open from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Tuesdays.
If no one arrives by 7:30 p.m. the Shop Forman can close the shop for the night.

PLEASE NOTE:

INSURANCE REQUIRES THAT USERS

MUST BE AT LEAST 12 YEARS OLD
 

Besides offering classes in cutting and polishing rocks to make cabachons we also offer other classes to our members. Included are silver smithing and lost-wax casting, free-form rock carving and beading class.
